Ofer Maor is a veteran cybersecurity innovator, white-hat hacker, and technology entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience shaping application and cloud security. He is the CTO and Co-Founder of Mitiga, where he leads the creation of a next-generation platform for cloud threat detection, investigation, and response (TDIR). Under his technical leadership, Mitiga applies detection-as-code, forensics-as-code, and response-as-code to automate cloud incident response at petabyte scale—enabling defenders to stop modern cloud breaches with speed and precision.
Previously, Ofer co-founded Seeker Security, where he invented Interactive Application Security Testing (IAST)—the first in-memory, instrumentation-based runtime application security testing technology. Seeker was later acquired by Synopsys, becoming a cornerstone of its secure-coding portfolio and helping shape modern AppSec practices.
At his core, Ofer is a breaker turned defender. He spent more than a decade as a white-hat hacker, discovering and publishing groundbreaking attack techniques, including the original research on Blind SQL Injection and SQL Injection Signature Evasion. He also co-founded Hacktics, a premium penetration testing and red-teaming firm acquired by EY, and was an early employee at Imperva, contributing during the formative years of application security as a discipline.
Beyond product innovation, Ofer is a deeply engaged community leader. He has served as a board member and conference chair at OWASP, a program committee member for RSA Conference, and is a frequent speaker at leading cybersecurity events worldwide. With dozens of publications and vulnerability disclosures, Ofer continues to influence how the industry thinks about offensive security, defense, and cloud resilience.
As a webinar speaker, Ofer brings a rare blend of hacker mindset, builder experience, and defender execution—offering audiences practical, real-world insight into securing modern cloud environments.
