Marcus Carey is a cybersecurity veteran, technologist, and entrepreneur whose career spans every layer of the security ecosystem— from government service to startup innovation and industry research. He began his journey in the U.S. Navy as a cryptologist, where he developed a strong foundation in intelligence, cryptography, and operational security.
Marcus is the founder of Threatcare, a breach and attack simulation company designed to help organizations continuously validate and improve their security posture. Threatcare was later acquired by ReliaQuest, where Marcus now serves as a Principal Research Scientist in the Office of the CTO. In this role, he explores how artificial intelligence and advanced analytics can be applied to solve real-world cybersecurity challenges at scale.
